Beginners Guide
Thinking of trying a class at Hot House Yoga & Pilates?
There is no prior experience necessary for any of our classes - no matter how much you do, as long as you try your best the right way you will always receive 100% benefit! However the more prepared you are for class, the more you will enjoy and benefit from your practice
Arrive early! Show up 15 minutes prior to the start time of your first class, as you'll need to sign a registration form
Bring a mat & towel - Mats available to hire in studio. Please note, towels only available for purchase.
Hydrate well! Hydration is crucial when practising hot yoga and pilates. Drink plenty of water before class and bring a large bottle of water with you – we have filtered, chilled tap water just near reception for you to fill up before class
Do not eat in the two hours before your class, to make sure all your food is well digested
Commit yourself to staying for the entire duration of class. This is important for your personal benefit and the group energy
Focus on what you CAN do. Beginner or not, there will always be things you can’t do yet, but there is always something you can do now
Whatever age, flexibility or fitness level, this is for you too! Please let your instructor know if you have any concerns or questions
